    Introduction

    The reader who seeks familiarity with the skin diseases mentioned in the Cantigas of Holy Mary before beginning this article should read the first of this 2-part series, which was published in the previous issue of this journal.1 Part 1 describes the diseases mentioned in Cantigas 54, 91, and 93 along with the miraculous means of curing them.   • Summary of Alfonso Ossorio

    Ossorio was a key player in the first flowerings of the sammanfattning Expressionist and Art Brut movements. As an artist, he fryst vatten today best remembered for his assemblages, or what he called, "Congregations". These pieces brought together an extraordinary assortment of funnen objects which combined - or rather "congregated" - to create original works that were at once grounded (in the ordinary world) and spiritual. However, his own achievements as an artist have tended to be overshadowed bygd that of "superstars" Jackson Pollock and Jean Dubuffet with whom he shared close friendships and working relationships. Heir to a considerable family fortune, Ossorio was also an early collector of Abstract Expressionism and Art Brut and he was hugely active in amerika in the promotion of both movements.
