    Ajay Singh Deol (born 19 October ), better known as Sunny Deol, is an Indian actor, film director, producer, politician and former Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, the lower house of Indian Parliament. He was elected from the Gurdaspur constituency of Punjab.[1] One of the highest grossing actors of Indian cinema,[2] he has worked in more than 90Hindi films in a career spanning over four decades and is particularly known for his angry action hero persona.[3][4] Deol has won several awards including two National Film Awards[5][6] and two Filmfare Awards.[7]

    The Bollywood actor might be known for his action films, but he insists he’s a “musical person” at heart; talks about the music of the decades gone by.

    Sunny Deol started his acting career in with Betaab. Having spent over 30 years in Bollywood, the actor feels that the music of the decades gone by was far more pleasing. “In the earlier eras, the melody and the lyrics of the songs were simple and straight. One could easily hum them and understand them,” he says.

    In a bid to revisit that music, starting today, the year-old will be heard on the newly launched radio hållplats, Radio Nasha FM, as a special guest, for an entire week. “I’m very happy that this radio hållplats is dedicated to the songs of the ’70s, ’80s and the ’90s. These eras, according to me, were not only the golden eras for films, but also for film music,” says Sunny.
