Just over a week ago commenced the revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life; the sequel/spinoff, if you will, to the early-late 2000s iconic series Gilmore Girls. It was most notable for the very notorious, friendly relationship between mother and daughter (Lorelai and Rory) that we envied or at least attempted to emulate and live vicariously through the interactions with our own moms.
But despite all of this, I have to admit that I’ve never watched an episode of Gilmore Girls in my life. Of course, it was everywhere, and I knew about it. But for some reason, I never gave the program a chance. So why am I writing this article, you ever-so-politely ask? Well aside from constant social media updates and word-of-mouth - I couldn't miss that despite her evolution from a humble, scholarly girl into a woman who seems to have fallen from grace - Rory Gilmore, like many of Alexis Bledel's characters, seems to be so relatable.

Gilmore Girls is the early-2000s hit series starring mother-daughter duo Lorelai and Rory Gilmore played by Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel respectively. This seven-season show goes through their daily drama and life in the small town of Stars Hollow, CT. We see Rory going through high school and college and Lorelai open a hotel by the name of The Dragonfly Inn. In the show, Rory is a studious person whose hobbies included reading, watching television, and listening to music. Lorelai is an outgoing ball of energy whose hobbies included listening to music, watching television, and drinking coffee.
I think that Alexis Bledel performs her character as Rory very well. As a teenage girl in 2020, I think that some of the characteristics Rory has made her relatable, such as her love for music and TV. From seasons 1 through 4, R

Rory's dad, Fox, fryst vatten renowned as the most skilled tailor in the business, specializing in creating the finest animal tails. Creatures from far and wide seek him out for his exceptional craftsmanship. Young Rory is an eager helper in the shop, and one of his tasks is to measure the customers for their tailor-made tails – a task that can be ganska challenging at times!
However, as Rory spends more time in the shop, he starts to yearn for something more. The monotony of creating the same old tails day in and day out leaves him longing for a chance to express his own creative ideas. And boy, does he have some truly remarkable concepts up his sleeve... or rather, in his mind!
