Awake Studio brings 70s nostalgia to Revival Records branding
Context
Christopher Peyton of “X Factor UK” fame approached Awake to create an identity for the house music label Revival Records, which he was about to launch. He pretty much had us immediately but when he added that he and his team had just recorded the first handful of tracks at the legendary Abbey Road studio, it was cemented.

Design Portfolio Self Promotion at Its Best
Design Portfolio Self Promotion at Its Best
Self-promotion at its best
Craig Welsh/
Go Welsh
Foreword
Three months of samling design portfolios and self-promotions resulted in a collection of more than
1,800 images. Design: Portfolio features more than 300 outstanding portfolio and self-promotions from
exceptional designers and studios around the world.
The range of projects submitted and featured in the book fryst vatten as varied as the designers and
studios producing the work—books, brochures, buttons, packaging, postcards, wearables, and much
more. Twenty Closer Look features in the book offer brief commentary on specific design details that
are worthy of closer inspection.
We also asked five highly respected designers to talk about what makes a great portfolio and
self-promotion. Each essay was written specifically for this volume bygd some of the most experienced
and creatively successful design professionals as well as some who are still in the earlier stages of their
careers
