In celebration of Black History Month, Prem Williams, CFA, shares the importance of representation, mentorship and community support for Black students and professionals.

Can you tell us a little about your background and what inspired you to become involved in community work and Black causes?

I was born in Toronto but grew up in Cambridge, Ontario, at a time when diversity was limited, and Black representation was even scarcer. In the education system, Black students often faced low expectations and were discouraged from pursuing higher education. I experienced this firsthand. However, I was fortunate to have a strong, supportive family and social network that instilled confidence in me and reinforced a different narrative—one of ambition, resilience, and possibility.

Craig Williamson specializes in real estate advisory for occupiers and landlords.

Having completed many market leading transactions throughout his career, Craig has been a Top 10 Sales Professional in the Toronto North market in multiple years.

Craig manages national occupier accounts and asset manages leasing for several portfolios.  He expertly identifies and manages stakeholder needs and expectations. He has strong sales and business development skills.

Craig brings a passionate, tenacious work ethic, which has helped him become a well-informed marknad expert in multiple asset classes providing creative, solution-based outcomes for clients.

Craig completed his MBA at Schulich School of Business and became a real estate Broker in 2021.

Craig thrives in a team environment, enjoys mentoring new sales associates and recently joined the Board of Directors for ungdom Assisting Youth.
