    THE ACCUSED: Jian Ghomeshi, 48, was the former popular host of the CBC Radio program “Q” before he was fired in October 2014. Ghomeshi was born in England to Iranian parents and moved to the Toronto area as a child. While at CBC, he was regarded as a star media personality known for his dulcet tones and an interview style that drew out interesting nuggets of information from celebrity guests. Ghomeshi has been out on bail since he was charged and has been living with his mother.

    In his memoir, 1982, disgraced radio star Jian Ghomeshi recounts a typical young person’s early experiences with sex, from a first kiss in Grade 5, through to an ill-fated make-out session in Grade 8, when he stripped naked with a girl and did not quite know what to do. When he bragged, his friends said he was “the master.”

      Elbowgate was an incident in which Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau came into physical contact with two opposition Members of Parliament in the House of Commons on May 18, 2016 during the parliamentary session.
