    In Drones4Safety werden Drohnen eingesetzt, um Inspektionen von Straßen und Schienen durchzuführen. Experten aus Industrie, Forschung und Wissenschaft in den Bereichen Infrastrukturinspektion, Energy Harvesting, künstliche Intelligenz, Kommunikation und Drohnentechnologie arbeiten gemeinsam daran, die Sicherheit des europäischen zivilen Verkehrssystems zu erhöhen. Im Rahmen des von der EU geförderten Projekts Drones4Safety bauen sie ein kooperatives, autonomes, sich selbst aufladendes und kontinuierlich arbeitendes Drohnensystem für autonome, genaue und häufige Inspektionen von Verkehrsinfrastrukturen. Dieses neue System soll Eisenbahn- und Brückenbetreibern zur Verfügung gestellt werden, um den Zustand ihrer Infrastrukturen aus der Ferne zu überwachen und sie zu benachrichtigen, wenn ein Fehler entdeckt wird. Das Projekt wird Satelliten- und offene Karten nutzen und Algorithmen der künstlichen Intelligenz (KI) entwickeln und verbesse

      Galileo Galilei discovered geometry and eventually mathematics through art. Lodovico Cigoli, a friend and fellow painter, once compared him to Michelangelo. Galileo’s drawing of the moon surface, for example, combines visualization with analysis. He improved the resolution of the telescope from the 9x magnification common in his time to 20x. Galileo first pieced together the captured segments of the moon in his head and later on paper. Through drawings and calculations, he investigated how relationships in height are revealed in light and shadows. These findings flowed into the fine nuances in his presentation of the surface and phases of the moon.
