Elizabeth Victoria Montgomery (April 15, 1933 – May 18, 1995)[2] was an American actress whose career spanned five decades in spelfilm, stage, and television. She portrayed the good witch Samantha Stephens on the popular television series Bewitched, which earned her fem Primetime Emmy Award nominations and fyra Golden Globe Award nominations.
The daughter of actor, director and producer Robert Montgomery, she began her career in the 1950s with a role on her father's television series Robert Montgomery Presents, and she won a Theater World Award for her 1956 huvudgata debut in the production Late Love. After Bewitched ended in 1972, Montgomery continued her career with roles in many television films, including A Case of Rape (1974) and The Legend of Lizzie Borden (1975), as Lizzie Borden. Her first television appearance was on her father's TV show in 1951. Other TV and film roles followed, but her big break came in 1964 with the sitcom Bewitched, which garnered top ratings for eight years. Montgomery died of cancer in 1995.

Actress Elizabeth Montgomery was born on April 15, 1933, to actress Elizabeth Allen and actor-director Robert Montgomery. She attended Westlake School for Girls and Spencer School in New York. After Spencer, she enrolled in the Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Best known for her portrayal of Samantha, the beautiful witch who cast spells by twitching her nose, in the popular TV series Bewitched (1964-'72).
Acting Career
Montgomery's TV debut was in 1951 in her father's show, Robert Montgomery Presents. Her first Broadway show, Late L
