    LIMITS AND CONTINUITY

    At the end of the module the students should be able to:

    1. illustrate limit of a function using table of values and graphs of functions;
    2. illustrate the limit laws;
    3. evaluate limits using limit laws;
    4. illustrate continuity of a function at a number;
    5. determine whether a function fryst vatten continuous at a given point; and
    6. illustrate continuity of a function on an interval.

    Limits
    The limit of a function at a point aa in its domain (if it exists) fryst vatten the value that the
    function approaches as its argument approaches a. The concept of a limit fryst vatten the
    fundamental concept of calculus and analysis. It fryst vatten used to define the derivative and
    the definite integral, and it can also be used to analyze the local behavior of functions
    near points of interest.
    The limit of f(x) is L as x approaches a and write this as

    lim 𝑓(𝑥) = 𝐿,
    𝑥→𝑥0

    provided we can man f(x) as close as L as we want for all x sufficiently close to a, from
    both sides, without a

    A timeline about Nikola Tesla by Gabbi Gordon

    Nikola Tesla was born July 10, in Smiljan, Croatia. His father was Milutin Tesla who was Serbian Orthodox Priest, and his mother Djuka Mandic was an inventor of household appliances. His childhood dream was to harness the power of  Niagara Falls.

    When Tesla was in collage he was interested in studying physics and mathematics, but soon became interested in electricity.

    When Tesla was in France he built a prototype of the introduction motor and it worked. Since no one in Europe wanted one, so he went to New York to work for Thomas Edison.

    Thomas Edison gave Nikola Tesla a job to work for him. Thomas Edison offored Nikola $50, to fix a prolbem, but then after Nikola fixed the prolbem he quit because Thomas Edison never paid him.

       Nikola Tesla started his own company called Tesla Eletric Light and Manufacturing

    July 10, Nikola Tesla Was Born

    Nikola Tesla was born in Smiljan, then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. His parents were ethnic Serbians. His father was an Orthodox Priest, and he credited his mother for his inventiveness. Tesla Enrolled at Austrian Polytechnic

    In , Tesla began to study engineering at the Austrian Polytechnic in Graz, Austria. He claimed to have graduated, but the institution disagrees. Worked for Continental Edison

    In , he went to work for Continental Edison in Paris. He was attempting to improve on electrical equipment sent from the United States. Identified Magnetic Induction Field Principle

    Working independently, Tesla identified the rotating magnetic induction field principle. This is used today in alternators. Moved to United States

    Tesla moved to the United States in , immediately approaching Thomas Edison with a letter of introduction. According to Tesla, he was offered 50, dollars to solve a problem, b
